LOUISE DAHL LINDVALL
10,7 m
For the MFA Degree exhibition at Konradsberg I was planning to perform a high fall from the roof terrace down onto a large airbag (like the ones that are commonly used for stunts) placed on the ground below. The distance between the roof and the concrete road was exactly 10,7 metres. Unfortunately, because the exhibition took place in a school campus the landowner felt that my performance piece would be unsuitable and refused to give me permission to jump. Instead I recorded an audio piece about the performance that never got to happen, a sort of testament to vertigo, that guides the listener through the exhibition, describing the events that lead up to the art work while attempting to seduce the listener into the fantasy of stepping off the edge themselves, finishing at the point where I was suposed to jump.
